A bioprinting process platform
Overview
Subhangul develops a bioprinting platform based on a stationary MEMS-fabricated matrix nozzle array. The system is designed to enable parallel, full-layer droplet deposition with high speed and resolution.
Core Technology
- Matrix printhead: more than one million individually addressable nozzles
- Droplet control: volumes in the range of 10–50 picoliters, resolution down to ~10 µm
- Throughput: one to three orders of magnitude faster than extrusion printing
- Multi-material support: deposition of several bioinks
- Integrated monitoring: sensing of droplet ejection and nozzle condition
- Perfusable structures: ability to create microvasculature and barrier geometries during printing
Potential Applications
- Drug screening and pharmaceutical assays
- Biochip and organ-on-chip fabrication
- In-vitro tissue models with perfusion capability
- Research on tissue maturation and long-term culture
